US MILITARY RATION SALES ACTIVITY The support provided to the US Military by J&M Food Products Company and its commercial supplier network successfully demonstrated our strong ability to surge to meet unexpected demand in a very short period of time. For example, in 2005, J&M Food Products Company was shipping about 8 to 10 containers of rations each day of the week to meet a tremendous surge in US Military demand. Our Company shipped about 3,600,000 rations to the Middle East by sea and air over a 7-week period of time. We immediately shipped from our inventory and then started production of follow-on inventory to successfully surge to meet the demand levels. Our production output went from virtually a zero base to over 480,000 rations per week within weeks of getting our orders. INTERNATIONAL MILITARIES AND RATIONS The J&M® halal certified rations are considered some of the best quality rations available in the world. We found companies in other countries attempting to copy our ration, but only the true J&M® brand halal rations provide the outstanding quality and service the market has come to appreciate. J&M Food Products Company usually participates at the IDEX International Defense Trade Show in Abu Dhabi, UAE which occurs in each odd year. The Company first participated in 1999.
TWO NEW MEAL VARIETIES WELCOMED!
J&M Food Products Company introduced two new, delicious halal meals in 227g foil pouches, which were well-received by consumers world-wide. Like all the other J&M® meals in pouches, the boxes are dual language labeled in English and Arabic. The two new varieties are:
• Lamb & Barley Stew
• Lamb & Lentil Stew
J&M Food Products Company has been the contractor providing halal certified rations through the US Government to the Iraqi and Afghanistan militaries and other international militaries as they train with the US Military.
Food is one important factor in the training process. If international soldiers enjoy the food they are eating, it is more likely that they will stay and continue to train successfully, allowing our US military personnel and contractors to return home sooner. We doubt there can be any greater expression of appreciation to us and our supplier network than to see the smiling faces of our friends, neighbors and family members as they return home safely.
